Fire!!!

Dad was given permission to start a fire to burn dried brush but it got out of hand so they had to call in reinforcement. I am not sure how the house is right now last I knew they were cutting trees new the house to try and save the house, but the trailer holding all the antique stuff was gone. So the furniture we just got is the last of the family antiques. I am so sad about that.

Also for the past 5 years we have spent almost every summer on the ranch where the kids have played, explored, run, had fun, and created memoried. When I know more I will update. I do know that Mom and Dad are safe.

Please Pray for their continued safety.

Why I HATE to TIPE !!!! (Jade)

Why I  HATE to TIPE...... :(

First of  all, tipping is so borring I would rather go play outside or do anything else!
Tipping is nothing but a stuped tool that pepole say that you haft to learn! You don`t get a choce to pick a notebook or a piece of paper any more IT IS STUPED AND I MEAN IT!!!!!!
Next, if  you get a word or a letter wrong you get in trubble!
Tipping is nothing but torter,
why I think that tipping is torter is because you don`t care for paper or books or anything that`s not a computer or lap top or phones or anything ELSE!!!Last, I know that this is hertful but I thank that the pepole that care about getting there phone or lap top up graded or getting a new thang are STUPED and I DON`T CARE FOR THEM AT ALL!!!
Tipping is just a stuped thing to learn!
WHY DO KID HAFT TO LEARN TO TIPE?It just smooshes your brain
into moosh, and that dosen`t bother you?In conclosion, I HATE TO TIPE BECAUSE, it is NOT A LIFE SKILL you need to learn at ALL!!!!..... :(

What is in a name?

Does a name have that much meaning? Apparently to a child who is used to a pen name or screen name. For as long as my kids can remember I have used the screen name mylilmonkies or My Little Monkies or even Six Little Monkies. Well Jade had noticed that I had started the little from my screen names.

When asked about this I simply told her they were all growing up on me and they were no longer my little monkies. In response to that Jade told me that they will always be young in my heart so I needed to change all my screen names back to include little, because no matter how big we get I will always remember them as little.

With this in mind, and from the thoughts of a child with autism, she is right. They will ALWAYS be my little monkies no matter how big they are. I will always worry about them. I will think about them. I will always love them no matter what. So she is right, so matter their age, height, distance from home, occupation, they will always be mylilmonkies.

Long Stressful Week

Oh my goodness what a week I have had. Last Wednesday I started to not feel good at all. My tonsils were swelling, back hurting, overall not feeling well at all. By Wednesday night I had a fever and no real appitite. By Thursday my throat did not hurt but my tonsils were very swollen and my back hurt so bad that I could barely walk.

I had been drinking water like crazy but just could not get warm even though outside it was 95 degrees. That evening we decided I needed to be seen in the Urgent Care center as Friday we had plans to met with friends for dinner and games.

The Urgent Care center tested for strep, UTI, and kidney infection. All came back negetive, so I was sent home with narcotics to help my back and told to call the pain clinic and see my dr ASAP the following day.

The soonest I fould get with my was 3 the following afternoon. So Friday I went in they tested me again for strep, kidney infection, UTI, a ton of blood work. Then I was unable to meet with our friends because I had to have a STAT MRI with and and without contrast. All I can stay is thank goodness for valium because that MRI was SO DANG long. Simply laying down flat was painful but I made it through. THe MRI showed nothing conclusive.

Monday I spoke with the drs on the phone, then Tuesday I had to go back in once again. This time once again a TON of blood was drawn. They took HUGE vials like 6, then 4 glass bottles with 20cc in each bottle. Once again I had to wait around this time for a MRI.

The MRI required a quart of barium. However they now offer flavoring with a note "for your improved drinking pleasure." HAHA improved drinking pleasure yeah right. That Vanilla Slushi Blast is SO far from a vanilla shake. And a quart of that stuff REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So today I got a call from my dr (who is not working today) to give me the results of the testing. The thing that has baffled the drs the whole time is my while blood count (well all blood counts related to infection) have been within normal ranges the while time.

This baffled them because earlier my tonsils were so big inside they were almost touching each other, I was running fevers even with 3 meds that NORMALLY block (or even reduce) fevers, on narcotics and other meds. Things did not add up. Lymph nodes were swollen, I had the symptoms of strep, kidney infections and other things but everything was negetive.

Today she called to let me know that my PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) was acting up and in a bad flair up. my left ovary was slightly enlarged, my right ovary is 3-4x the normal size and loaded with cysts.

It seems the plan of the partial hysterectomy to remove everything but the ovaries to shut down the PCOS was not effective. The swollen ovaries made my body think I had an infection causing the fevers. The fevers induced the swollen lymph nodes including the tonsils. My body was fighting an infection that was not there counting for the normal white blood count.

Because I have only been taking one naprixin (found out today I need 2 pills) I have not been getting enough anti-inflamitory meds for when I started walking. Because I have been walking 1-2 miles each day trying to loose weight and improve my health the inflamation has been slowly increasing.

Well while in Utah with my best friend for over 20 yrs we explored SLC and Temple Square and did an 8 1/2 trek in one day. Needless to say I over did it. So combining the walking and exploring between the reunion, exploring Utah with Melly, then my PCOS flair up my body could not handle the stress and basicly flipped out on me.

I gave the drs a run for their money and a lead them to a very difficult diagnosis.

Now I get to take prednisone to try and reduce the inflimation, increase the naprixin, wean down the narcs, and feel better really soon.

Coding Error and Lost Scripts....Offer on the house

UGH!!! Due to a simple coding error Chantelle was approved for her feeding pump, all supping but not her MIC-Button. Finally today I got in touch with the right person at Apria and found out we were billed the full price for the button due to a simple coding error. After several frustrating calls between  Children's, the insurance, the medical supply company we finally got this issue solved.

Additionally, I have dealing with getting my CPAP supplies changed from one supplier to another but again have been dealing with my scripts getting lost, the sleep study results lost. Having to have both faxed in several times. I finally have the order in and approved and will be getting a new mask and set of supplies. This is desprately needed as my current mask is about a year old and masks are supposed to be changed out every 3-6 months depending on the kind of mask. My mask is 6 months over due for a change.

YEAH!!! After almost 3 months both are finally figured out.

Oh and we have an offer on the house. Please keep in your prayers that if all is in the Lord's plan that all will fall into place for a quick sale for our house. We have a young family that wants our house. Everything has been faxed into the bank. Now everything is in their hands as to whether or not they will accept the offer and let us sell the house.

We are back home in Aurora

Well we are back home in Aurora. The trailer is unpacked, the car mostly, things are still quite disorganized and we finally got sleep. The disorganzation can not last very long as we have to have the house clean enough for people to drop by anytime to look at the house.

We are hoping and praying our stay here in Aurora this time is very short. Frank has to leave for AZ at the end of the month for a class in Ft Huachuca. The sooner the house sells, the sooner we can join him there. If the house does not sell then we will hand out here until Mid October when we need to drive down to meet him. After that we will officially be on our way to Maryland.

Right now it is strange being in the house as all of our household goods have already been shipped and are on their way to storage. We have enough stuff that we filled half the truck.

The Best of EFY -Celidah's Perspective

Okay so I got to go to the best of EFY today and I had a blast! When I first got there, it was boring and loud. Then when it actually started, it got really quiet as everyone stopped talking and listened to the beginning announcements. After the announcements, two youth sang all three verses of I Am A Child of God, it was a pretty good performance. Then after a brief introduction, the first speaker came up. He asked four people who he had talked to before EFY started, to come up on stage and help him out. However, only the three boys came up on stage and the girl stayed in her seat. I can't recall the name of the speaker, but he asked one of his helpers, "Why was the earth created?"

The boy he asked answered, "Because he loves us."

The speaker said that was a very good answer and asked the other two boys, and they said the same thing, just worded differently. After he got their answers, the speaker referred to a scripture about why the world was created. The scripture said that the world was created for us to get married and raise a family. That surprised me 'cause I had been taught that the earth was like a big test. The speaker had plenty of good evidence from both the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and outside sources, that the world was created for families. He spoke to us and keep on building on the fact that the world was made for families and that man and women are meant to be equals and live together. At one point, he compared a family to a shirt. He said that life is like making a shirt, it is done best when you follow a pattern. Then the speaker asked, “What kind of things do we use in our lives that are like patterns?”

A couple kids in the audience raised their hands and said that the New Era, Friend, Ensign, Book of Mormon, Bible, and church websites can help us with our patterns. Then he talked about how patterns sometimes have mistakes in them and that the only pattern that was mistake free was Jesus Crist’s life. Then he ended his talk by saying that he hoped we grew up to be great parents and would raise great families.

The second speaker started off  by telling a story off a student he did private tutoring for. It was a funny story about a detailed set of directions for making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The first time the kid gave the speaker his set of directions, it was a very messy fail. Then when he redid the directions, they were much more detailed and the sandwich came out almost perfect. He told that story to try and get us to understand that what he said may not come out as he had hoped.

Then he told us more stories about how he named his four sons. Then at some point, he got all the youth to sing This Little Light of Mine and that led to telling us that we should never hid or blow out our spirit, he called it our ‘light’.  He told us to, “Never hid your light, let it shine BRIGHT!!!” He also told us that our Heavenly Father wants us to stand out and be peculiar to others so we can pass the light on. The speaker told us next, that we should make sure to always protect our light and it would be easier to protect it if we always wore the ‘Armor of Light’. The armor of light would help us against temptations and it would help us choose the right thing more easily. Then he ended his talk.

Next we got to go outside and eat pizza and burritos. And after a bit of waiting, my best friend Kate came in time to go to the dance after the talks and food. Kate and I made friends with a boy who is very similar to us in more ways than one. A couple minutes later, his friend tackled him and the four of us kind ‘a hung out together the next two hours. At one point, Kate and the two guys were doing the chicken dance and didn’t really want to do that, so I just slowly wandered off for a few minutes and started to braid some grass together. When I came back to the spot I had left, Kate tackled me and screamed at me for wandering off without telling her! It was funny for me but apparently not so much for her cause she made sure either her or one of the guys were with me for most of the rest of the dance. I slow danced with the two boys and one of them taught me how to spin and dip, that was fun. Near the end of the dance, I ran into an old classmate and we did the last dance together. However I got lost in his eyes and wasn’t paying attention to when the song ended, Kate had to come tell me the song was over. I have a feeling Matt wasn’t paying attention to the song either…

After the dance was over and it was time to go home, one of the other boys I danced with pulled me off to the side and asked if I liked him. I told him I didn’t know him well enough to answer that, but I though he was cute. Then I gave him a quick peck on the cheek and he turned red. Even though it was dark outside, I could tell he turned red, and I felt my face grow hot so I probably turned red too. Since my friend had pulled me away from Matt, I had to track him back down and I also gave him a quick peck on the cheek, then he had to go. Then in a couple of minutes, mom arrived and I was time to go home.

All in all, this was one of the best nights yet this summer!
