Today the kids had a special reception at the Wildlife Experience www.TheWildlifeExperience.org
for the Nurturing Nature: Growing Young Colorado Artists exibit.

The Wildlife Experience is proud to exhibit student artwork through our Nurturing Nature: Growing Young Colorado Artists program. This program encourages students to share with the community their appreciation of wildlife and nature through the visual arts. Each year, over 200 pieces of artwork done by young artists, in collaboration with area schools, will be displayed. It is here that an appreciation for art and nature converge. Students grow individually, but also learn about the importance of caring for all living things in our community - and on our planet.

The kids were so excited to arrive and be greeted as official artists. Then even more excited to be able walk down the hall showing off the artwork and find theirs being displayed. Once they got done looking at the artwork, then had a snack, they participated in the craft activity. They all enjoyed making the bear claw necklaces then had a blast exploring the Wildlife Experience Museum. The place is amazing! They can't wait to return.

Band/Orchestra Concerts

Last Night was Celidah’s band concert. She really did a great job especially since she played double the normal amount of songs that she would play. This is because she played percussion for the 7th grade, then stayed on stage and played for the 8th grade band.

Considering she played for two classes, she did amazing.

Tonight for orchestra she played the percussion part for the 7th grade orchestra Dragon Slayer piece, the bounced between percussion and her violin with the 8th grade orchestra. She seemed to have playing both parts. Additionally, she was the only one to have her song introduction part memorized tonight. All the other children read their parts. She was nervous reciting her introduction, but did a great job
