The house is packed

Well the house is packed and empty. What would our life be if even a simple task of "watching" packers pack and load a truck was not an adventure. Once the truck arrived I had a few final errands to run while Frank stayed at the house while all our belongings were being loaded onto the truck.

The day started with my chasing the kids off to park as they kept in the way of the packers. Once it was finally time to take them off to their summer camp we loaded up in the truck and left. With no food in the house I told the kids I would be back in time to deliver their lunch and left to drop off the perscritions that needed filling. Next, off to the COVA office in Thorton, 35 minutes away to drop of computers that shipping lables had not been recieved. Back to town to drop off monters to Children's. Just as I hit 225 the traffic stopped. I crawled along for 35 minuted to the first exited 1 1/2 miles down the freeway. A bad accident had taken the freeway from 4 lanes to 1.

At this point I had already talked with the kids from camp at the dance school and arranged for them to feed the kids and promised to pay another adult back when I returned t pick them up. As soon as I could I got pizza and drinks for everyone left at the house including the packers. Finally, arriving home with lunch around 1:30 I had a few minutes to rest.

Suddenly looking at the clock I realized it was already past 2 and the kids were done with their musical theater camp so I ran out the door again having had one slice of pizza and some gatorade. Once the kids were picked up I called the mom of the child I had with me to ask if I could drop her off later and dropped by another delivery, then picked up the perscriptions I dropped off in the morning only to discover they were not finished. I left the pharmacy took the kids home, went back to the pharmacy, got gas, went to another pharmacy as the base pharmacy did not have all the scripts I needed, dropped by wal-mart for a few last minute items, them went home.

Then once home we discovered that our mattress got packed up and we needed a mattress for Frank and I and a couple other things so back to Wal-Mart I went. Finally at 10:45 last night we were done and able to pull out from the house to leave. Now we are in WY waiting for the rest of the family to arrive so all the cousins can see each other before we move to Maryland.

Complications Arise

I had been on and off the phone with Nana and Poppi throughout the day on the 1st concerning the car issues they had been facing. During my appointment we got confirmation that Frank needed to drive to WY to help Nana and Poppi and get here with their stuff before the moving truck. After many hours of driving, the three arrived here safely with everything but Nana and Poppi's truck, which was left at the repair shop.

After a good nap for all three it was time to empty the truck and get the seat back in so could pick the kids up from their summer musical theater camp. Things got moved around and were suddenly no longer set aside. Finally after solid day of packing, the packers left with everything neatly in boxes, the boxes stacked. However, after we began to prepare for Corbyn's Arrow of Light Ceremony, we discovered Chantelle's feeding pump was nowhere to be found. Poppi's hat was packed in a box knowing there was nothing that could be done until the following morning.

This morning we awoke, I made calls to the shipping company to see about finding the packed stuff, called the DME to find out the possibility of a loaner pump in case we did not find the feeding pump. In addition to making these calls we discovered that Nana and Poppi's coats had also been packed. Finding the coats was as important as the feeding pump as Poppi had something in his coat that he needed ASAP.

The moving company returned to help open, look through, and reseal the boxes. We eventually found the feeding pump in a box in the garage. The hat was in the first box Poppi suggested they look in upstairs in the girls room. Finally, the coats were found in a random box in the dining room. After a prayer of thanks, we saw Nana and Poppi off to visit with cousins up north.

Complications Arise Again

Elitch Gardens

We attended a deployed family event with Buckley AFB. They invited us along as Frank st recently returned hom from Afghanistan. The kids had a blast with this. We stayed longer than we thought we would but left much earlier than we did with Boondocks. Again the kids had a blast.

All the kids had roller coasters they were able to go one. Jairon was able to go on almost everything and Zach was so mad that was just barely to short for the Mind Eraser until he got to watch the roller coaster race over right over us.

Happy Birthday Corbyn

Corbyn is now 11, finished everything he needed for scouts, the house is listed and dad is home, time for a huge celebration party. We decided to suprise the kids with an all day unlimited access party to Boondocks. We arrived around 11am got checked in and played. The table portion of the party began at 12 and we resumed playing aroung 1:30. We finally left whe the park was closing for the night at 10:45 that night.

Needless to say the kids were worn out from their day yet all found something to do. The best part for Corbyn was the laser tag games. Normally he is prevented from playing paint ball due to his ITP and low platelets. However, laser tag was not only a blast but safe for him. Here are only some of the pictures from that adventure...

 Waiting for laser tag
please can I go in NOW???
haha can't see me now or can you?
I get to ride the big go cart with daddy
cool water fall in a cave while playing mini golf
trying to get a pretty sunset in the back ground
 being silly
 Driving a bumper boat
 bumper boats was a blast
time for pizza (hot dog for Ellie) wings, fries, onion rings, fried cheese sticks, and other goodies
and the birthday cake complete with little men playing laser tag
