Rabbit Step???

Yesterday the 3 younger kids had to see Dr M for the cough their asthma has flared up and is not going away. After talking with him about the duration of the cough with all 3 kids and how often they are needing their breathing treatments he noticed that all 3 kids had swollen nodes in their throats, and had ordered a rapid strep test to make sure we were not also dealing with strep throat. We discussed how this was unlikely as none of the kids had been dealing with fevers or really complaining of soar throats (except for Jade).

As it came time for the kids to be tested we decided to have Zach tested first, then Ellie, the student would do Jairon last. As we were discussing the order all of a sudden all confused Ellie asked why a rabbit was needed. Puzzled, Dr M told Ellie, nothing is rabid, they are doing a rapid strep test. Rabbit? Why Rabbit? Not rabid, rapid, Dr M replied.

At this suddenly Ellie jumped off the table got a fit of giggles and and started jumping around the room. At this Dr M looked at me really puzzled, then started really laughing as Ellie looked at him said "But why a rabbit step? I already have the bunny hop down? Do I have to have my throat tickled again when I seriously can do the bunny hop like this?"

Suddenly her questions and his questions were NOT making sense to each other. We explained again that they were testing for bugs in her throat for strep throat, or a very bad sore throat, and had nothing to rabbit steps, or bunny hops, and the only way to test was to tickle the back of her throat.

More pictures of Ava...

More puppy pictures

Look at that bone she is trying to chew on...one day she will be way bigger than that bone. Bug for now it is way bigger than she is... Oh and this crate too, yes she will barely fit in it...
Just look at that cute face
learning to go down without falling or rolling down the stairs
those tiny paws barely hang over the edge right now...
Soon she will stand well above Zach's knees, not halfway to his knees...
